Dr. Blake Mitchell, DMD
Dr. Blake Mitchell is the founder of Oral Health Brands. He has been practicing general dentistry since 2014. He attended the Edwards School of Business at the University of Saskatchewan prior to completing his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. Blake has experience in the business industry outside of dentistry including commercial real estate and the development of multiple franchisor companies. He currently resides in Regina with his wife and two sons.
Tyler Ford, OMVIC
Tyler Ford is the Director of Business Development for Oral Health Brands. He is also the Founding Director and CEO of BioEquity Holdings Inc., a network of mental health services companies. Mr. Ford began his career in the healthcare field by establishing a business development, marketing, and consulting agency. Through his leadership, he successfully managed, marketed, and operated multi-seven-figure companies in collaboration with healthcare entrepreneurs, including psychotherapists. Tyler has built an international network of relationships with financial lenders and investors across four continents including banks, credit unions, private equity firms and family offices.
Tyler's academic background includes studies in ethics and law at Georgian College, leading to his OMVIC certification. He further built his business and investment acumen by studying business, investment management and corporate finance through the University of Pennsylvania, Athabasca University and the Canadian Securities Institute. To continuously enhance his expertise and contribute to the healthcare industry, Tyler is an accredited associate member of the Canadian College of Health Leaders, the Canadian Public Health Association, and the Ontario Public Health Association. He is also an esteemed and charitable member of the Rotary Club of Toronto.
Brett Ferguson, BComm, CFA(I)
Brett Ferguson holds the position of Director of Accounting and Finance with Oral Health Brands. Mr. Ferguson works with clinic owners and other business entities to establish and maintain their accounting and finance practices. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta and has completed his Level I Chartered Financial Analyst.
Brett has an extensive career playing professional hockey in Europe. He has worked with businesses within the dental industry as well as outside. In these roles in Canada and abroad, he worked with owners to improve their financial health through extensive key performance indicator monitoring, cash flow management, and ongoing accounting organization.
